“If we’ve done anything by being on TV, we’ve proven that we’re not perfect,” star Chrisley Knows Best, 53, said on the Wednesday, August 24, episode of his “Chrisley Confessions” podcast on PodcastOne. “We’ve shown weaknesses. People, I’m not ashamed of that. You can’t shame me for everything that’s going on in my life or in my family, because of because this is my life, it’s my time to live, and I make the decision, whether it’s good, bad, or useless.

The reality star and his wife, Julie Chrisley, was indicted for tax evasion earlier this year. They will be sentenced in October, but earlier this week, the pair filed a motion for a new trial and acquittal.

The businessman also said that he and his family were satisfied before they got rich. “I can tell you that my happiest days were the few days we had,” he explained. “Because I wasn’t worried about anybody trying to take it from us, because there wasn’t much to take away.”

Last month, Todd said he regrets spending so much time worrying about his finances and not checking in on himself. “I lost it when I couldn’t tell the difference between my personal salary and my net salary,” he said on a July episode of his podcast. “The higher my net worth, the less I care about my personal worth because everything is built around that net worth. It’s all around things.”
