According to the petition and other reports, Gbenro fraudulently sold the land on behalf of Ojaja Pan Africa Limited, but refused to pay the land owners.
It was learned that Gbenro, under the guise of working for the Ooni, agreed to land owners including one Iya Eko, to donate parcels of land for the project and he told Iya Eko to giving him a receipt for N55million.
Meanwhile, the contractor, Mr Adeyemi Adewale in another letter written to the Ondo State Police Commissioner, said his life was threatened by Gbenro.
Titled, ‘The case of fraud and malfeasance that disturbs the peace against Mr Oluwagbenro Akinfolarin Ogunseyi calls for investigation,’ Adewale said how more than N4million was seized in arms of Gbenro.
The letter reads, “I started work and Mr Oluwagbenro Ogunseyi refused to pay my money even though I had to pay other staff working for me. Dear police commissioner, good to you sir for Mr Gbenro Ogunseyi’s threat to my life that I should not ask for money again.(sic)
