The Treasury launches a macro operation for fraud in parcel franchises


The Tax Agency has launched a macro-operation against fraud in courier and parcel franchiseswhich covers fourteen autonomous communities, given the signs of Concealment of sales and payments in B to the workers.

Operation ‘Columba’

The ‘Columba’ operation has launched more than a hundred inspection checks to 77 companies and 40 individuals and plans to analyze both undeclared activity and irregular payments (in B) to workers or the use of dual-use computer programs to hide sales.

The inspections are based on complaints that have communicated to the Tax Agency several alleged cases of concealment of economic activity and irregular payments to workers, related to invoicing in cash and software dual use -whose possession and use has been verified in the first inspections-.

The appearances this Wednesday have allowed the Agency to directly access the documentation and accounting information included in the computer systems cwith the objective of “confirming and quantifying” the undeclared activity.

Likewise, the actions will cover the environment “corporate and family” of the investigated companies that “present external signs of wealth that are not consistent” with the declared income.

According to the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC), more than 60% of the 2,177 operators registered in the postal register they do so as a franchise or other analogous links.
