The founder of the Movement for Justice and Peace (MBMJP), Mr. Joe Bukka has regretted the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

He later expressed his feelings, calling the killing a “national disgrace”. He said Maori were not happy with the government because of the ASUU strike, insecurity and other problems affecting the country.

He, however, said it was appropriate for President Muhammadu Buhari to handle the matter himself, as former President, Jonathan Ebele handled the matter during his administration.

He said in a statement: ” We urge President Buhari to adopt the same strategy to end this strike because it is a national shame that our public universities have been closed for so long and our leaders are busy talking politics without realizing that a country is in trouble. while the development of human capital is declining”.
