Popular Nigerian singer, Ice Prince Zamani has been remanded in Ikoyi Correctional Facility on the order of a Magistrates Court in Ajah, Lagos.
The Rapper was on Friday charged by the Lagos State Police for allegedly kidnapping an officer.
The suspect pleaded not guilty when the charges were read out to him in court.
Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi set bail at N500,000 and ordered two executions.
Ice Prince will remain in jail until he meets bail conditions. The matter was adjourned to September 7.
Police said the music star, real name Panshak Henry Zamani, was stopped at 3 a.m. for driving without a license plate.
The Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin saw that he agreed to be taken to the station.
“Later, he kidnapped the policeman in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river”, said the speaker.
The incident happened after the police promised to prosecute the singer, Daniel Benson popularly known as BNXN for hitting and spitting on an officer.
