Nigeria’s Super Falcons have ended their goalless streak against the United States of America Women’s National Team after conceding a goal in their 2-1 defeat in Washington DC last night. Tuesday.
The Nigeria Women’s National Team and the USA Women’s National Team continue to play each other and could play another entertaining friendly against each other on Tuesday.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria lost 4-0 to the United States Women’s National Team a few days ago and they held on for a hard-fought win over their rival yesterday.
The US Women’s National Team took the lead with an own goal by Demehin, ending the first half of the game 1-0.
Uchenna Kanu equalized for Nigeria in the 50th minute before Rose Lavelle scored the winning goal for the US Women’s National Team in the 66th minute to end the match 2-1.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria were impressive throughout the game, but all their efforts failed to score in the game, as the match ended 2-1 against American Women’s Association.
Ahead of Tuesday night’s match, Nigeria failed to score against the USA and Uchenna Kanu’s second-half goal meant that the Super Falcons of Nigeria were all but eliminated. They went 20 years without scoring against the US Women’s team.
