A market in Kano state is currently in chaos after a building collapsed which reportedly trapped traders.
It is said that the building on the site of the famous GSM street market in Bayreuth is still under construction, with workers, traders and even passers-by inside, just as they were at the time of the collapse.
An eyewitness who survived the accident told our correspondent that the house is a three-storey building, with the first and second floors completed with real estate agents.
For them, he said, more than a hundred people are buying GSM phones in the house, some are buying food and those are resting in the shade of the house.
Another trader said that more than 100 people were under the rubble of the damaged building.
A rescue mission is underway with a team of police, civil defense, and other military forces on the ground. At the time of this report, only three people were supposed to have gone out without being killed. The Daily Post could not confirm whether there had been any casualties.
