José Rivera assures that he was the one who bought the winning ticket for the highest prize of the Powerball lottery, of $2,040 million, on November 7. He alleges that the ticket redeemed by Edwin Castro, who was certified as a winner by the California Lottery, was stolen. While the Pasadena police investigate, on July 24, both parties and a third party are summoned to court in the Alhambra.
