This week singer Joe Jonas revealed that he likes to use injectables to target his frown lines and a scar he has between his eyebrows.

The 33-year-old hitmaker is far from the first famous male to get candid about his decision to use cosmetic procedures to help delays signs of ageing.

The likes of Barry Manilow, Burt Reynolds and Kenny Rogers have also spoken about their decision to go under the knife.

Meanwhile Simon Cowell has also been open about undergoing a face lift and getting Botox injections, though the TV judge admitted he ‘did have a little too much’.

Here, FEMAIL reveals the famous men who have openly spoken about getting work done…

Joe Jonas, 33, became a household name as a teenager when The Jonas Brothers found fame in 2006.

Having grown up with the world watching how he is aging, the Camp Rock actor recently revealed that he has been happy to get injectables to prevent signs of aging.

Indeed, the Cake By The Ocean hitmaker chose to get injectables specifically to target his frown lines and a scar he has between his eyebrows.

In fact, the musician has publicly partnered with the cosmetic injectable brand Xeomin for a new campaign.

Xeomin uses a purified formula to remove ‘unnecessary proteins’ that smooths fine lines, according to People.

Simon Cowell, 62, has been very open about getting work done in recent decades, though the famous TV judge has not been happy with some of the results.

The America’s Got Talent judge has previously revealed he first started by getting Botox, however he has never confirmed an exact date.

Pictures taken throughout the years suggest Simon started having Botox injections from 2009 onwards. However, his looks changed completely in 2018 after he underwent a facelift.

Cowell chose to get the Silhouette Soft Lift which cost him around $2,000.

‘It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the crap,’ he told The Sun of the surgery at the time.

Fans of American Idol star started to comment on how much work he had done in 2016, causing the judge to admit to The Sun that he ‘probably did have a little too much a couple of years ago.’

While the 62-year-old relied on Botox for some time, he admitted to The Sun in April that after years of it, he felt he started to look ‘like something out a horror film.’

‘There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognize it as me first of all,’ he told the outlet.

He then claimed that he had his fillers removed. ‘Eric [his son] was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.’

‘There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other.’

However, fans claimed that Cowell’s face looked as if it had completely transformed once again during an appearance on a British talk show in June 2022.

Though Howard Stern, 68, is most famous for his voice thanks to decades of being one of America’s most famous radio personalities, the popular host chose to get cosmetic surgery done earlier in his career.

The former America’s Got Talent judge previously opened up about getting a nose job, as well also using liposuction to remove his double chin.

Indeed, the comedian actually underwent surgery to have ‘the hump’ removed from his nose in 1997, after he finished working on his film, Private Parts.

Speaking about it in 2006, Stern admitted he actually lost his voice for a short time following the procedure – an occasional side effect of the surgery.

At the same time, Stern got liposuction to suck out the waddle of fat under his chin to improve his jaw and neck appearance.

Stern recalled that he had to have his head completely wrapped for five days after the procedure, and he claimed that the pain made him vow not to get more work done in the future.

He wrote: ‘…recovery sucks…thank god for a marathon on lifetime…#theclientlist thanks @TheReal_Jlh.’

Hutcherson initially told his Twitter followers that he had the procedure to treat a ‘broken nose’ but later told TMZ that he went under the knife to fix a ‘deviated septum.’

‘I was 90 percent blocked in my right nostril,’ he told the website.

The late country singer (pictured left in 1968 before surgery) later admitted he regretted going under the knife as many times as he did (pictured right in 2017 after surgery)

Late country singer Kenny Rogers topped the charts in the 1970s and much like his equally famous pal, Dolly Parton, Rogers was open about the fact he used surgery to try and fight the ageing process.

In 2006, the Lucille singer has admitted going under the knife several times in a bid to stay young for his fifth wife Wanda and their identical twins.

Speaking to People magazine, he explained: ‘I did a lot more a long time ago. Dolly used to kid me about it.

‘Last year I had so many lines coming in at the side of my eyes up here. So I went in and got my eyes done, and I’m not happy about it. (The surgeon) is going to go in and fix that for me.’

The singer continued: ‘They’re too tight around the eyelids for me. It drives me crazy. I wake up in the morning, and Wanda says, “You look great.” But I know what I want to look like.

‘If we can fix that, then I’ll be glad I did it. If we can’t fix it, I’ll regret it or get used to it. I think when you’re in the public eye, you feel a pressure to stay younger looking.’

Speaking about his surgery later on, he admitted he actually missed the way his eyes used to look.

‘I kind of wish I hadn’t done it,’ he told CBS Online News. ‘Looking back at some pictures of myself, my eyes were a lot warmer than they are now, and I miss that.’ He added: ‘As you go through life, you make choices. Some are good, some are bad.’

Thanks to his famously rugged looks, late actor Burt Reynolds became the kind of Hollywood heartthrob who was crowned Sexiest Man Alive.

Reynolds always denied the longstanding rumors that he’d undergone a facelift, insisting he’d inherited his wrinkle-free skin was inherited from his father.

However, the Deliverance star did admit undergoing surgery to correct his eyes. In fact, The Longest Yard actor chose to get work done to undo the impact of too many fights scenes during his acting heyday.

Speaking out following years of speculation about changes to his appearance, he said: ‘I was never lifted. I would not have a problem with the truth. In the mid ‘80s, after some fights in a film, I had to have my eyes done.

‘For one, I almost went blind because I got black powder in my eye. Also, I had terrible sacks under my eyes from the many fistfights. My eyes were not in form any more. I had that corrected.’

Over the years, the actor (pictured left in 1990 before surgery) has been having tweaks done to try and get his face back to a point he is happier with following botched surgery (pictured right in 2012 after multiple surgeries)

Once famed for his pretty boy looks, Mickey Rourke’s career in boxing dramatically altered his appearance.

Unfortunately, when he went to get plastic surgery to fix the issues, it resulted in his face getting damaged further.

He previously told the Daily Mail: ‘I had my nose broken twice. I had five operations on my nose and one on a smashed cheekbone.

‘I had to have cartilage taken from my ear to rebuild my nose and a couple of operations to scrape out the cartilage because the scar tissue wasn’t healing properly.’

He continued: ‘Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together.’

Every since, the star has been having tweaks done to try and get his face back to a point he is happier with.

Fans have long speculated that the singer (pictured in 2003 before surgery) had more work done (pictured right in 2013 after a nose job)

Singer Barry Manilow first dealt with speculation about getting plastic surgery in the early noughties after it was reported that he had undergone a complete upper and lower facelift, to remove drooping skin from the eyelids and tighten the facial skin.

The hitmaker had stated around the time that he planned to have plastic surgery on his famous nose at a later date after he broke it in a freak accident at his California home in 2003.

Manilow claimed he had woken up in the night disorientated, walked into a wall in the dark and knocked himself out.

‘I veered left instead of right and slammed into the wall,’ he explained at the time. He was unconscious for four hours and was warned he would need plastic surgery to avoid permanent facial disfigurement.

‘I may have to have my nose fixed and, with this nose, it’s going to require major surgery,’ he added.

However, in the years that followed, fans believed the singer might have done undergone more procedures in private.

Reid Ewing got his big break on Modern Family. But with fame came insecurity for the actor.

The 33-year-old revealed to Huffington Post that he suffered from body dysmorphic disorder – causing him to obsess over the way he looked.

One day, he decided he looked so ‘unacceptably ugly’ that he met with a cosmetic surgeon who had told him he needed to get cheek fillers.

However, the Good Luck Charlie actor wasn’t exactly happy with the results once the procedure was done.

‘After all the swelling finally went down, the results were horrendous,’ he explained.

Admitting his regret, he shared: ‘I vowed I would never get cosmetic surgery again even though I was still deeply insecure about my looks.’

The actor continued: ‘It took me about six months before I was comfortable with people even looking at me. I wish I could go back and undo all the surgeries.’

Actor Christian Bale, 48, is known for doing whatever it takes to transform into his characters, and this even led to the star getting his teeth fixed.

Bale revealed in 2000 that he had dental work done in order to better visually portray his character, Patrick Bateman, in American Psycho.

Speaking to The Guardian at the time, the actor explained: ‘I liked my old teeth. I have a molding of them on a shelf.

‘But with Patrick Bateman, his physicality is much more important than with most characters. He deals totally in the superficial, and he’s incredibly narcissistic.’

Bale was so sure the change needed to be done that he went to get his teeth fixed before he took on the role.

He continued: ‘I looked at myself in the mirror, and it just wasn’t right. I was warned that if I got caps I could get a lisp, and you might still be able to tell in close-up.

‘So I thought, I like my teeth, but I’m not so attached to them that I’m going to ruin this whole movie because I refuse to get them done.’
