Barajas Airport spends 600,000 euros to expand the VIP Lounge of T4


The most exclusive passengers passing through Terminal 4 of the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport will debut a renovated Plaza Mayor VIP Lounge, which has seen its capacity increase by 55% to 161 passengers, who will enjoy a larger area since this facility has gone from 580 to 780 square meters. For this, Aena has invested 600,000 euros. In a statement, it has justified this initiative by meeting the high demand for this space and at the same time improving service and customer experience.

Among the actions carried out is the addition of modern furniture characteristic of this type of services, “of great design and quality”, equipped with rest, work and catering furniture, a display of hot and cold food and a wall display case for drinks and refrigerated products. From the public airport operator they have pointed out that “the actions have been developed in record time to be able to be operational in the summer season and be able to meet the demand for the service”.

With the remodeling of the Plaza Mayor VIP Lounge, located in the T4 boarding area in the center of the building, this room now has various spaces with two catering service areas and two living room environments. In addition, it will have all the services of a VIP room, with comfortable and spacious living areas, work area, catering service and showers and toilets, among others.

Updated VIP rooms

Barajas has another four VIP rooms distributed throughout its different terminals: Sala Cibeles in T1, Puerta de Alcalá in T2, Puerta del Sol in T3 and Neptuno in T4S. To these spaces is added the Premium Room, expanded and renovated a year ago. All airport lounges have been increasing the quality of their facilities, services and offer in recent years, Aena has stressed.
